One of the first DIY projects I tackled at our new house was Cassidy’s bedroom wall. A princess needs a fancy room right? I’d seen a few ideas I liked on Pinterest and the one I loved was this one that links to Etsy via Lilsugar.
Gorgeous right?! So I immediately went to Urban Walls on Etsy and ordered the polka dots. I received 50 4″ gold polka dot vinyls and began the task of figuring out the dot placement on her wall.
I did not mark out each and and every dot placement. I don’t have the patience for it 🙂 What I did was measure in from the corner and down from the top with a tape measure. Each dot on the top was 10″ down measured to the center of the dot. I measured in from the corner of the wall 10″ to the center of the dot and then 18″ from center of each dot to the next. On the following row I found the 9″ center between the top 2 dots, then measured down 18″ and centered the dot and started that row going across. And so on and so forth. I am sure there is a much more technical way of doing it, but this worked for me!
Tada! Don’t mind Jake from State Farm…he’s recently decided her bed is super comfy.
