Ikea has to be one of my all time favorite places to shop. First and foremost, it is HUGE. Ikea sells everything from flooring to cinnamon rolls. Yes, you read that right. CINNAMON ROLLS! And they are to die for. Shopping at Ikea is unlike shopping anywhere else. You walk into this massive store, where you debate on needing a cart or just a nylon bag. Take the cart, trust me. You can also take a shopping list sheet with a tiny pencil. Those are a MUST. The store is laid out in a pattern like you’re walking through a home, room by room. While some smaller items you might be able to place in your cart, such as a giant pack of batteries, the majority of the items will have an aisle and slot number on them. That is what you want to jot down on your shopping list. Once you’ve made it through the maze of rooms you’ll end up in the warehouse section with rows and rows of shelves and the hunt for your flat packed, un-assembled, items begins. Don’t forget to stop at the bakery after you pay to pick up your cinnamon rolls (I’ve mentioned they are good, right?).
I have always tried to make a trip to California each year, to do a big Ikea haul. Seems extreme, I know. So when I found out Las Vegas is finally getting one of our very own, excitement overload hit. It opens in August of 2016!
Here are some of the great pieces currently at Ikea (I’ve used 2 and 4 multiple times in leasing offices)
