I am so excited to tell everyone that I am back doing what I love, interior design! It is my passion, what I got my degree in and it has been years since I’ve been able to work on something (other than my own home). I was presented with the opportunity to redo the model for a very old apartment complex here in Las Vegas. Now, when I say very old, I mean OLD! As in, Sammy Davis Jr. used to live there, old. Very cool history, wouldn’t you say?
This is the kitchen. Yep. Anyone itchy yet?
and the bathroom…oh that bathroom!
Obviously it was in need of some serious love. The bathroom and kitchen got some serious makeovers and the whole unit got new paint and new floors. Now for the reveal of the completed project! (Insert drum roll here)
Can you believe the difference? I think everyone should have some teal deer head over their sinks 😉 We are taking name suggestions, please submit yours!
Finding this dining table set was like a kid in a candy store. The entire apartment complex is very mid century modern architecturally. So this beauty was a must!
This sofa and chair are to die for. The fabric is the softest charcoal chenille and the tufting! Oh the tufting. I think every single maintenance guy that came in as I was setting up asked if that TV worked. Ha! No boys, now get back to work!
The difficulty with the bedroom was that 3 out of the 4 walls is cinder block. Needless to say, Chris, my handy maintenance man who hung the art, was not pleased.
And the restroom! So fresh and so clean.
It was so rewarding to do this project. It reminded me why I went into this profession in the first place. I am looking forward to doing their leasing office next! It is going to be so fun! The building is round so, wow! What a challenge! Stay tuned for that post in a few months!
What do you think of the finished project?
